The members of the FIFA endorsed the proposal of their president,
Joseph Blatter, to implement the rule of the 6+5, that it anticipates
that there is a minimum of six national players in the initial
formation of the equipment for 2012.
In a voting done yesterday in Sydney in the Congress number 58 of
the organization, there were 155 votes to favor, 5 against and 40
abstentions, according to office of agency DPA.
The European Union (the EU) had noticed that it considered the
initiative illegal to contravene the right to the free circulation of
people.
" If the Member States adopted that rule, the European Commission would
not have more remedy than to take them juicio" , it recently said the
European commissioner of Use, Social Subjects and Equality of
Opportunities, the Czech Vladimir Spidla.
Of the opposite side, the vice-president of the FIFA, Franz
Beckenbauer, explained: " We defend that rule, because nobody wants to
see play eleven foreigners in its club and that the young player is
itself blocked. That is not good for fútbol".
